I took this shot a while ago during a partial solar eclipse. I figured I'd post it here as it is one of my favorite sunset images. It would have been a decent photo with just a regular sun, but I think the sun with a huge bite out of it gives this photo an otherworldly or apocalyptic feel.

What is kind of neat is you can actually see the whole circle of the moon. Not sure how that happened, it is probably being lit a little from earthshine.

This was shot with my K20D and my Tair 3 300mm F4.5 Preset lens. If I remember correctly, I had it set to F11.

Atmospheric! (pun intended)

But you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
Ah, you don’t believe
We’re on the eve
Of destruction.

Don’t you understand what I’m tryin’ to say
Can’t you feel the fears I’m feelin’ today?
If the button is pushed, there’s no runnin’ away
There’ll be no one to save, with the world in a grave
[Take a look around ya boy, it's bound to scare ya boy]

And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
Ah, you don’t believe
We’re on the eve
Of destruction.
