First Shot with New Lens -- Bower 35mm F1.4

I just received a new lens this evening, a Bower (samyang, rokinon) 35mm F1.4 lens. I can't believe the quality you get for $379! I haven't tested it yet to see if I have a good copy, but with my first image, I can see that I'll be very pleased after testing.

Here's my first shot, an obligatory dog photo. Shot wide open at f1.4 with bad light.

I'll be heading up into the mountains tomorrow for some landscape photography, the main reason I bought this lens.

I like my very much, the only problem is that all of my friends that are not photographers can t understand why i have to walk and move around with it, isn t it simpler to zoom in and out, they ask? Smile
