I recently received the Schneider Curtagon 35/4 and TeleXenar 150/5.5. In a lull during our bad weather this morning I managed to try both out. The Curtagon seems to me to be a very fine lens - sharp, nice OOF, good colour etc. The Tele-Xenar is a disappointment - wont focus to infinity (despite being an M42 mount), very prone to flare (I presume no coating), soft, but nice colours. Here is a sample of the TeleXenar, wide open (at f5.5!)

and the Curtagon - mainly wide open

Really wonderful pictures! Exclamation

My favorite is the first. It has magic. I can feel the power and vitality of spring ("Yang-Chi" in chinese expression).

Wow, you've got the Curtagon! That's a kind of dream lens for me.
Congratulations!

Nice samples. Even if the Tele xenar is slightly soft it looks capable of very pleasing results.
