These are the first shots I've seen with the Samyang 800mm f/8. Honestly they are better than I had anticipated. Thanks for posting this series!

Don you have a picture of this lense on the 5D MKII?

For the price this lens goes for I was half expecting it to be a dog, but knowing the 85 is quite good I thought it may have a chance of being a decent performer.

The closer shots look really good. It's difficult to judge the others as smog really fouls things up, but they look acceptable or good depending on conditions.

I'll wager Samyang's 500mm f/6.3 does just as good a job. Anybody here got one?
