I read that this lens has various report about its quality. some said good some said not.
Well...If you're looking for sharp lens at infinity, this lens is not for you. So I'm not going to post image at ifinity.
It suits for these shot, I guess Smile

Nice work.

I think there are two reasons why this lens has a mixed reputation:

1. there is much variation, some copies are not good

2. at full aperture and f4, the centre is very sharp but the edges are smeary, stop it down to 5.6 and this goes away.

So if you have a good one and use it to it's strengths, it is a very capable lens.

for close distance.mine is sharp at wide open, but very thin dof that at a glance I must thinking this is not sharp.
it best sharpness start at f8.
So.. yes, various quality. iI guess bad quality control of Pentacon.

Wasn't bad quality control , rather was no control Laughing these lenses made for mass amount of people to make photography to affordable to everyone. I heard some lenses was built buy students as summer work Laughing Laughing
