Minolta Maxxum 1.7/50 - Sony A850

I've really never had any interest in getting an autofocus lens but I had a chance to get this maxxum standard for $30 (along with a camera body, the 7000, a few cokin filters, and a couple of big vivitar flashes.

Definitely a nice lens. Good subject separation and center sharpness wide-open. Don't know if I'll keep it but it's fun to actually use the a850 as it was intended.

Moleman good to see you posting again i have not seen much from you recently, and i always enjoy your work , The nifty 50 minolta is a very nice lens, fast and sharp, I like mine.
Looks very good as it was intended on fullframe
