good idea, but how's he get it onto a 127 spool. I tried respooling 120 onto a 620 spool once and it was a nightmare

I think same night mare in darkness...

to 620 I simple clip a 120 roll with strong nail clipper, difference only between them 120 spool has larger diameter at ends.

perhaps but its thicker in the middle too and the hole in the spool is smaller on a 620. However your nail clipper method works?

Mark film a bit smaller 2mm at least than normal 127 due you can't cut perfectly. Do it in total dark, to be sure edges not get light. Start with cigar cutter , but finish it with sharp knife, cutter not cut straight well. Re-spool it to 127 spool.
