My lens arrived today and appears to have had a mod to PK mount(inside box in glassine pouch was ball bearing screw and old actuator blade) The lens fits on all my SLR Pentax bodies including MZ5n & PZ1p but will not mount on my K20D is there something I am missing? Cheers.

Can you post a picture of the lens mount? It must be a custom mod, so whoever did it might got it wrong somewhere. It could also be that they did not file (or otherwise shorten) the protruding "skirt" around the lens mount; this "skirt" is what generally prevents Mamiya SX lenses to be mounted on many types of M42 adapters (e.g. M42-EOS).

I will post pic.of lens mount but you mention M42 adapter, this has nothing to do with M42 adapters it is a mod tp Pentax PK and it is obvious that there is a difference of some sort on the Pentax K20 D body, compared to manual film SLR's, and the Pentax auto cameras like PZ1p and MX5n,Theoretically if it mounts on PZ1p & MX5n it should mount on k20D.NO M42 mount needed.

In this case, it could be either the mount (who knows where they sourced it?) or the "skirt", which is simply an extension of aperture control ring protruding towards the mount.

OK, but that doesn't explain why it fits AF camera like P1Zp and MZ5n and not my K20D,unless the 20D is different mount than the other two which I doubt. But many thanks for your comments.

Could be anything, really. If you post a picture of the mount, someone from the community will most probably be able to spot the problem.
