I am going back through all my favorite MF lenses and trying them out on the K-01. The Tamron 90/2.5 fits nicely on this camera a perfect length I think,I say this having not tried any longer lenses on it yet.

On a few of these (town images) you can see the infamous blue ring or sensor reflection especially with the strong side light of the early morning sun.The last image #4 is when I realized what was happening and used my hand to shade the front of the glass.

I set a challenge for myself to show you my town in images and make them interesting for you too look at. Very Happy (I would love any thoughts on this... making something I look at everyday interesting for someone else)

wow, fantastic, I very much like the play of light in the fog and levels of landscape!
your village has superb location, beautiful, hilly green environs

Thanks, the fog does help with showing the depth across the valley. There is a river that winds its way through the trees.I will try and take some more with different lenses.

Nice images.

I've yet to experience the mentioned flaw with this lens. Then again, I always use it's hood, which probably explains why.

You are most probably right...I never use a hood and suffer for it. Rolling Eyes One day I will be disciplined enough to put it on as I do have it in a box somewhere.

Great photos Mo!

#3 has best light imho

#4 best captures the mood and tone of the place for me. Glorious light, THE most difficult to photograph imho. Bird on wire. Pampas grass is symbol of home to those who grew up where it grows, like a scent that dislodges an old memory.

The lens captures a lot of fine landscape detail other lenses seem to miss! However, the lens is designed for low-contrast light. I think another lens design would perform better in this lighting.

The hood does allow pointing the lens closer to bright lights, not much -- hand is always there, but it's sometimes otherwise occupied.

The blue spot becomes more visible as lens aperture is closed. Wink I never noticed it at f/8; f/11, yes, began to see it more often, by f/16 it shows often. Spot is due to un-coated rear elements allowing light reflecting from sensor into the lens, a sort of reverse-flare/ghosting, if you will.

Ideas: a photo story Wink, a tour, a day with Mo, let's go for a walk, a drive, let's meet _______,
