Minolta MD 28-70 1:3.5-4.8 - Play in focus ring

Just picked up a pretty close to pristine, Minolta MD 28-70mm zoom lens for $15. Overall the lens is in great shape, there is however a small amount of play/wiggle in the focusing ring. While not enough to be an issue in every day use, I'd like to find out how to tighten the ring as to avoid future issues

This lens is the two step arrangement were the zoom ring is separate from the focus ring.

While this lens, I believe, would have been considered a "kit lens", I'm surprised as to solid feel this lens has especially when compared to modern digital kit lenses.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
