This tiny lens in silver looks pretty cool on the 7r. At f1.4 it has slightly vignette, less contrast, but sharp and fine. MFD is still the same.
Jpeg engine from 7r is not as good as raw->jpg. Dynamic range looks like d800.

Except for looking cool on mirrorless, compact and light weight, i don't think this lens' image is exceptional. Bokeh is a bit harsh, contrast less at f1.4. It's a compromise between 35-50mm at f1.4. The mentioned properties are enough for me to keep it. On a7r it's just lovely. Post processing with minor contrast boost does help a lot. |
