Ebay Helicoids

Does anyone have any experience with these helicoids, from Ebay? (there are a few different sellers, but the units look identical)

With it being coated aluminum, I would be concerned of the coating flaking off, inside the helicoid as the focus is turned and pieces getting dumped into the camera body (and onto my sensor)

Are they built fairly solid?

Any experience would be great to have, before spending $70.

I have 3 of them, 1 M42-M42 and 2 M42-m52. But mine are not 36-90.
There is no problem with the paint on them, it is strong enough.
The M42-M52 ones are well made and with a precise movement. I changed one of them from M42-M52 to Sony E mount-M52 and I use it on my NEX as an adapter for old lenses. I've used them a lot in the last 6-8 months and they are still O.K.
The M42-M42 one was loose and poorly build (I dismantled it). After 2-3 weeks it couldn't be used any more.
On ebay they look all similar but probably they are made by more companies with differences in the quality control.

I would recommend this set if you are also interested a good quality M42 to EOS adapter Click here to see on Ebay . A bit more expensive but the quality is quiet good IMHO. Good seller with 100% positive feedback.
