I like it, one of the best 28/2 built for SLR cameras.

I bought one of these from a thrift shop for $35 a few years ago. Never tried it. Sold it for $275 on ebay.

IIRC, mine was a MD lens, not a MC lens.

I like that pictures.

I should try it at far focus. Almost all 28s lenses that saw, are very good at near focus. But far focus........

The Rokkor 2/28 is absolutely amazing! The best 28 I have in my cabinet.

I have a smc pentax 28mm f2 that has a floating element for best possible image quality at any focus distance.
Co-developed with Zeiss, it sells for about $500 now so IM almost afraid to use it anymore.

really nice rending.

AFAIK, at f/5,6, f/85 and f/11 the rendering of the 2/28 is similar to the 2,8/28 with 7 elements.

Impressive results! How is the contrast? Do you bump it a little or is it good enough already?

Thanks Buddy!
I bumped the contrast little bit on toothpick and manggis fruit ( i used portrait with low contrast on NEX)
on others, no editing except resize and crop. I did tried to auto contrast/auto color, but nothing changed significantly. so I leave it in original.

I never have any Rokkor of significant, but a few other 28/2. This lens looks nice.

Distagon, Pentax K 28/2, nikkor 28/2 & hexanon 28/1.8 uc, has floating element for close ranges.
My most compact still the pentax A28/2.

Your bike looks awesome Very Happy

I tried rokkor 85/1,7, it's in same class with Hexanon 85/1,8.
This lens is really new to me. I got it converted to EF mount already. I will try it in my EOS film camera.
I like shoot wide open with this lens.
let's see ..

cropped 100%

I hope someday I can try your list of that 28mm Hoan Smile
