Hi,

I couldn't find any section for introducing myself so thought I'd do it here Very Happy. Recently bought an NEX 5R then discovered I could use old manual lenses with it. When researching which ones to buy I kept finding this site and found it a great resource so thought I'd join and share my experiences's with them.

So far I've bought

OM Zuiko 50mm f1.8

Mamaya Sekor 55mm f1.8

Helios 44M 58mm f2

Super Takumar 135mm 3.5

I also have coming in the post

Konica Hexanon AR f3.5/28mm

Hoya HMC 75-150mm F3.8

I took my NEX5 out today with a Zuiko 50 / 1.4, it's a great combination. I love the NEX and any old lens ! Laughing

Welcome, I hope you enjoy your lenses as much as we do.

Welcome!

I'm glad to see you already have the Helios 44. I think it should be in everyone's kit.

Thanks for the warm welcome Smile, looking forward to learning more about mf lenses and sharing some shots.

Couldn't believe how good the build quality of these old lenses are especially the Japanese ones the care and atention to detail, is something you dont see in lenses nowadays

Good evening, lass (or is it laddie?),
Welcome! And, since you have a NEX,
when you have the time, take a look at
one of our German members' invention:
the VNEX system. You can't imagine how
much fun you will be able to have...

/hm: lousy spelling rectified! Sorry!/
