How to make a good test-negative?

I want to make a resolution comparision between several lenses at 1:1,5 ratio for negative digitalisation.
For that I thought a high resolution fine grain negative should be perfect.

My plan is to use Efke KB25, Xtol 1+1 - should be good enough for my needs.

But I currently only have an Konica Autoreflex T with Konica with Konica 52/1.8, 50/1.7, 28/2.8 and an Minolta XG9 with Minolta MD 50/1.4, 50/2, 135/2.8 as analog bodies - I don't have any better lenses/bodies at the moment. Which combo I should use to get the most details?

Which target for taking pics would be optimal? I thought about using a newspaper with different font-sizes, a brickwall or a landscape but an selfmade DIN A4 testchart might be better.

Any experience or comments on that?

I think 50mm lens any at F8 and closer distance 1-3m maximum, Konica 1.7 according to urban legends one of the sharpest lens I can't confirm it. Select well structured surface, like rusty metal, old wooden stuff etc

I have loads of 35mm negatives I have made using Micro-Nikkor 3.5/55 and Agfa Microfilm, which should be very sharp, be happy to send you one or two if they will be useful.

The Konica 1.7/50 is very sharp, but with my scanner, I can't tell just how sharp, probably not sharper than the Zenitar M2-S 2/50.

Why negatives? How about slides? Use any image, a test chart or custom chart made in photoshop...

ColorSlide.com 35mm Color Slides as low as $1.49 each!

digital images are photographed from high-res crt (same pixel dimensions as 5D sensor, go figure...) with high-res lens...
