Copier I think.
I have Bausch&Lomb and Rank Taylor Hobson lenses like this, more or less. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

Would have been my 2nd guess, but now that I think about it, copier is more plausible. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

Copier or Process, these are common, no aperture, can't be put in shutter, pretty useless, if they were useful the LF crowd would be all over them. The Rokkor-QF 195mm is probably the commonest of them, but other lengths are seen pretty often. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I managed to mount the Bausch&Lomb 8 1/4" (210mm) on an SLR bellows and shot some with my Pentax.
Just for fun.
Quality isnt wonderful, bokeh is pretty good.
It should also be possible to mount one of these with a reasonably short focal length on a Speed Graphic or similar camera with a focal plane shutter without too much trouble.
280mm probably would require too much bellows draw on a Speed Graphic, these aren't telephotos. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
