My impression is that this lens is a difficult one to work with: preserves very well low and midtones, but drives one crazy in the highlights.
The 2° portrait, the one your wife is looking strait to the camera lens is one of the best - for me, at least - you had made: she seems so "à laise", relaxed, comfortable in the portrait session, composition is perfect, and result is stunning. Congrats, well done,
