I am fortunate to have been able to obtain a Vega 12B lens recently, and I tried it out for the first time shooting flower photos at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania yesterday.

It was fairly low light conditions in spite of being in early afternoon due to an impending snowstorm. Hence, I had to shoot using a higher ISO to keep from using the flash.

I was so pleased with the color rendering and bokeh that resulted from using the lens on my Nikon D70. I could not use a tripod due to high volume of patrons, unfortunately.

Thanks to Attila for his comments about this lens. If not for them I might not have tried it.

Basic rule you can't go wrong with any Russian lens Smile only a few exception exists, lovely samples. It will perform bright in good light for sure.
