I need an adapter to use pentax K 28/3.5 shift lens on canon bodies.

None of the adapter i have or borrow can align the lens. it is usable, but difficult since the angles is not locked in.

aligned adapter is critical to use with this lens properly.

I found some old thread, but is it the same adapter as few years back?

Any help appreciated alot. Thanks.

I am not too knowledgeable with the adapters that have come out so far, and I think there are some differences between the adapters made for fullframe and apsc canon bodies - not sure though.

I got myself a big_is chipped adapter (brass, with editable emf) about four months ago, currently using it with a Pentax-M 50mm/1.4 and a 600D canon, no complaints.

Update: Didn't see the "shift lens" part of your post earlier. Sorry, completely ignorant of these. Maybe veterans here should be able to help.

Looking at my PK>EOS adapter Hoan, I would say it looks impossible to make an adapter that correctly aligns the lens because there isn't enough space where the bayonet wings coincide.

You have three possible solutions:

1 Turn the Canon mount, but then all other lenses will be wrong

2 Get yourself a NEX

3 I'll swap you the shift lens for my plain K 3.5/28 Smile

1. I can try to turn the canon mount, just need to drill new lock hole, but it may not be firmly fit.

2. I already have a nex Very Happy

3. That's a very good option.

The shift lens does not have anything sticking out. It's the simplest K mount, and can easily swap to other mounts, just drill new screw holes. It's also the only lens from pentax I want to use on canon body.
