From an old defective 8 Euro - Voigtlaender VITO B camera i "transplanted" the heart of the cam, the Skopar 3.5/50mm lens to the Sony NEX via VNEX System.. will reach infinity on that system.
Fits in the 12mm connector of the VNEX
And how it looks on Sony NEX 7..
And here are some sample images, taken with the lens..
Last picture was taken at ISO 1600 OOC.. during sunrise and no PP.. so a bit noisy.
Cheers

Thanks for sharing there, I've been umming and ahhhing about buying a Vito B or Vitomatic, always heard the Color-skopar was great, and these NEX samples prove it.
I'll definitely pick up a Voigtlander cam with one now. I'll use it for shooting film though, rather than remove the lens. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I like it to do images straight out of the cam instead of processing them in more stages as neccessary to show the images..
No further processing with all "faults which can happen".. only straight and direct images, you can see immediately..
I want to see, what the lens can do for me.. not what a developing process or a scan is doing with my pictures..
Cheers

That's a nice approach Henry.
I'm a lover of old cameras, I I like the challenge of using them, no automation, just a weston meter in my hand, and I am really drawn to Voigtlanders for their build quality and quirky-ness. Also, I'm really into film shooting at the moment, I enjoy the whole process more than digital.
Isn't it nice how there can be totally different approaches to using the same old things in creative ways. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |
