Yesterday I escaped here for a nice quiet walk. Photos taken just before or after sunset.

looks like a nice area you visited - the past alive. I heard about those little special type of boats that transported so many good through the UK.

Thanks Klaus. It was a very nice area indeed. This was near Crewe and Nantwich in Cheshire (close to a village called Worleston).

Yes, I've also heard that these canals played a big role in the industrial revolution. Now mostly used for leisure. And actually some of them are equivalent to houses as people live in them. I've heard though that they're trying to revive some canals back to carrying goods.
