Hi all,

Knowing that the registered distance of the Exakta/Topcon system is 44mm,
and knowing that the registered distance of the Sony/Minolta (a) system is 44.6mm,

Can one affirm that there's glass in this adapter Question

Thanks for your time

My chart says that exakta-topcon bayonet register distance is 44.7 and Minolta AF 44.5- that changes little about your question since it would be difficult to fit two different bayonets having only 0.2 mm margin.
So, for what I understood, I'd say that there is glass, or no glass but no infinite focus.

Due no infinity without glass adapter, producers usually not make it, I suggest to buy a second hand mirror less camera , prices start from 100 USD on Ebay and use other lenses on mirror less camera rather than on your Sony.

Glass is usually ruin image IQ especially on longer distance shoot where resolution is important, I did try once Nikon adapter with Nikon and did give up. Adapter was so crap still in my drawer, I did read here on forum some user had better experience.

there are some differences between your and my chart, actually.
I verified mine with wikipedia, and everything looks the same, but as far as I know the author of the chart I have could have simply copied it from wikipedia.

Anyway, I'd second Attila suggestion: even the best glassed adapter will make your lens perform poorly under some aspect (mostly, resolution on far objects, and wide open performance).

My only experience was Minolta MD/MC to minolta/Sony (a)... Not very conclusive

Although i had good old Minolta lenses, i sold them all, and got rid of the glass adapter...

I have one TOKYO KOGAKU RE, Auto-Topcor 2.8/10cm
and i'm waiting on a RE Topcor 2.8/28

And this is what i'll do..

It's non-destructive
