I was stunned to see the quality of these photos when I downloaded them into my PC:
In good light, they are more than acceptable to my eyes.

Nice shot with the dog
Did you add some sharpening in LR? Pics look pretty oversharped on my monitor, many white halos around edges, lines and details

Sharpness looks okay but that blown out sky in the first one is not good and the colours seem a bit off. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Any digital camera is going to struggle with shooting into the sun, but this isn't bad considering. |

The colours in the first shot seem to be faded a little becauce the shot is a little overexposed.
Anyway, I agree, those smartphones are capable of producing an amazing image quality!!
The is the reason why camera manufacturers have started to sell high-end compact digicams (Canon G15, Nikon 7100, Sony RX100...).
The "normal" ones cannot be sold for a profit anymore. You need to sell them cheaply because of the competition of the cell phones. _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!
