This is a Sturmanske 50th anniversary of the launching of the Sputnik satellite. Note on the back it says 1957-2007. The red arrow "satellite" goes around once a minute like a second hand. In the last pic I did a double exp so you can see it moving(4 & 5 o'clock positions). If you did more than 2 exposures, the red arrow would disappear in the white background. Zeiss 50 with Nikon-P6 tilt adapter.

Very nice. The color images are better for this subject. THey pop well. The black and white has some digital noise that distracts from the watch's quality.

As opposed to film grain?

In the b&w, I added film grain in Photoshop. I guess you could say I'm a collector. I don't wear most of my Russian watches because I don't want scratches on them.

Watches are just like lenses. Once you are hooked, only out of fund may help, like there is no cure for lba Laughing

Nice images there, and a very handsome watch!

I have been longing for a 3133 based watch for ages, but I still haven't managed to pull the trigger. Seeing them grow more expensive by each week is a pain too, now since production has ceased.

Anyway, here are a few of my Vostoks. I have others as well, but the Vostoks are very dear to me.

The Vostoks

Here is an Amphibia that I have modified quite a bit (I got the bezel insert from Noah Fuller just before he passed away, but I think you can buy them from his friend Jake these days):

Custom Vostok Amphibia

Oh, and sorry for hijacking the thread. Smile

mikkokan, which Amphibian did you get? Do you have any pics?

LGH, I really like that Kormandirske with the yellow/beige dial. Someone posted that one on a watch forum a few years ago and I almost bought one. Where did you get yours?

It's a new Amphibian from Ebay seller Zenitar. It came with one year warranty. It's running a bit fast but I found out that I can adjust it myself. Here's 3 pics.

I got my K-34 from Meranom. I have no affiliation with him other than the fact that I bought a few watches from him. He seems very service minded and will often show up on watch forums and participate in the discussion.
