Hi,
this is my first post in here,
One week ago I was fortunate enough to get the NIkon FM2 as a free gift, the camera is in good ,working condition and it came with the prime Nikkor 50mm/1.8 lens ,and also with one 28mm/2.8 of unknown brand, the front bezel cover on the lens is missing, so Im just left to guess .Now, I'm wondering, if any of you came across anything like that and,or, can advice on the manufacturer name??I got a feeling that this lens was made by Hanimex or Cosina, but not 100% sure, any thoughts on this one? Cant wait to get some film and try the camera and lenses, but first some TLC is a must!
thank you.

Looks like Korean noname lens(brands Hanimex, Beston, Underground, Geminy, Falcon, Rokinon, etc, etc, etc). Made by Samyang, has very poor quality except finish. |

Missing nameplate : Bell & Howell 1:2.8 f = 28mm 49 No.######
Got it right in my hand, it's has to be this one. Looks exactly the same.
Rebranded "cheap" 28mm.
Works great and has Nikon AI mount for my Nikon shooting friend
edit :
http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Bell--Howell-128-f28mm--No-314952-Lens-11274333.html
Looks like the nameplate could have been lost like this.
edit :
Here's one in OM mount

You made me find the lens and test it . Osawa should be of quite good quality since connection with Mamiya. Test proved it's sharp wide-open and nice edge to edge performance and infinity sharpness (both test photos are shot wide-open). Contrast and colors also high. Bokeh i didn't like. Photos resized only.
I also compared construction with other Jap 28mm lenses. Well it's not Tokina RMC neither Tokina EL. It is not even MAMIYA CS. Osawa has most curved front element and it is the biggest of them all on the last photo (if you ever wander where all RMC Tokinas went - seriously i bought them in a lot all with stuck aperture). BTW this lens is not the same as discussed here since it's bigger: http://forum.mflenses.com/osawa-mc-28-2-8-very-compact-t31748,start,15.html

This is the same as my m42 one and the number on the lens is 2229918 and the results from it are still crap...the annoying bit is it's in mint condition and probably unloved by the previous owner as well _________________ Canon A1, AV1, T70 & T90, EOS 300 and EOS300v, Chinon CE and CP-7M.
