so this only controls aperture? or also autofocus functions?
if only aperture then better to get a lens with an aperture ring?

Auto-focus, aperture and image stabilization if supported.

I thought only metabones managed to manufacture those things

http://www.metabones.com/sony/buy-eos-nex-adapter

I wonder how would look a Canon 300/2.8L IS USM on a NEX?

I bought a Nex 7 this summer and hooked up my Canon FD 300 2.8 Fluorite. It was a beast but easy to focus. But I wasn't impressed with the image noise on the Nex 7. 400ASA and above was bad. So the Nex 7 went back.
