I followed the link, and had a wander around the world of lomography. Dear god,,,,,there's some shit there. And what isn't shit, the Kiev's and Zoki's etc, are overpriced and hyped up as something they will never be.

But, I can see some merit in the phone scanner thing. I think that has some possibilities.

Lomography is like modern art, people with no talent go to galleries and be a star.
Talents maximum can sell paints in Tesco ... I see this ...

Ya gotta hand it to those Lomo folks though. They're keeping film photography alive and interesting among the younger crowd. And that's worth a LOT, in my view. I wish them every success.

Indeed, next time you have a roll you're not so happy with, pop over to the world of lomo, you will feel like David Bailey within mere moments in comparison.

The worst thing about lomo is they are buying up every bloody roll of 120 film on ebay now so the price of the stuff has more than doubled, it's so frustrating that all those 120 rolls are being wasted in plastic Holgas and other crap-o-cams while my collection of beautiful folding cameras are crying out for more film. Sad

Sad Confused Smile Surprised Very Happy Shocked

Well, if the law of supply and demand has any validity, as the demand increases, so will the supply . . . but also so will prices. Oh well. Better pricey 120 than no 120 at all.

They've also made film photography fun again. Just when it looked like technically perfect mediocrity was killing it.
