I decided to try out Fomadon LQN instead of LQR as in good light the LQR gives very harsh results with very deep blacks. The LQN gives a much less harsh result but I think with this series and lighting (just before sunset) LQR would have been better.

This lens is a J8M (M denotes later version with click stops) made in 1970. It's nowhere near as sharp as my 1957 copy, this is the first substandard Russian lens I've owned and I've had quite a lot of them.

I like number 10, has an early 20th century feel i think.

I like this series better than LQR ones.

Thanks guys. I'll try this lens on digital, but to me, it's lacking sharpness compared to the other copies I have.
