Just wondering, what wide angle lenses (either shutter or barrel) are available that don't cost a fortune. 65mm would be nice.

Wollensak Raptar and the old Schneider Angulon, both 65mm

There were also some less common ones, Leitmeyr and Boyer had them.

I have a Boyer 65mm

There are some rather rare Ilex and I think Goerz ones IIRC.

Prices can be rather high even for these old lenses. I wouldn't count on getting one for under $200

Thanks Luis. I think my cheapest option might be to look at a Mamiya 65mm for a Mamiya Press or a Hexanon 60mm for a Koni-Omega.

I wonder what the coverage is like on the rb67 wide angles? those are quite cheap.

I guess for wide angle panoramas that might get problematic with the coverage

Elgeet Rochester has also wide angle lenses for these 2x3 cameras - and they often not that expensive but rare (there are only above 90mm+ lenses on the bay currently)

I've got a Bausch & Lomb Series 1C 90mm Tessar that came off a Ansco 6x9 folder, bit wierd to have a 90mm lens on a 6x9. Tessars usually have a coverage about equal to their focal length so I'll have to try this 90mm one out and if it really does cover 2x3.

90mm is easier.

Wollensak Raptars/Graflex Optars and the early Angulons are quite common and not so expensive.
I just sold a couple of them in fact.
Under $100 is typical, and these are true wide angles and will cover 4x5, if you want a lens for a panorama camera.

Cheers Luis. Optars, Raptars, Dagors, Artars are not very comon in the UK, but Angulons are. There are some Dallmeyer wide angles too, saw one a couple of weeks ago on ebay.

Postage for large format lenses to Europe isn't very expensive by ordinary parcel post.
Large format lenses and shutters are small and light.
I recently sent a few Wollensaks to Ireland and Germany and Israel for $12-15 in postage.
