Good evening Smile Need help on this camera. I have twice tried taking pictures with it, the first time i ended up with the pictures overlapping, which apparently has to do with the two windows at the back, the numbers should be read in the second window. I did this and got good quality negatives. The problem however is that the local lab can't print them without losing a large part of the picture. They can do other medium format but not this. I know i could get the negatives scanned but that kind of defeats the purpose. Is there any way around it?

Your local lab may either can't handle well his software or just ignorant, if they can scan 6x6 format I think they must scan 6x9 too.
Workaround is another lab or DIY scan by your self.

Thanks Boss. The thing is i don't want scans i want prints, and not prints done from scans Wink I have searched on the net and have found out i need a 6x6 mask for the camera. What are the chances of finding one?

Little, but may some other 6x6 mask is fit into. Or you can try to make an own one from metal, plastic or even from cardboard and fix into with some easy release glue like what kids yours in school. If need to remove you should do easily.

These days for 'real' prints not many carry 6x9 negative carriers - most likely they are giving you 6x7?

I don't know to be honest. Is there any way i could get some instructions to make a six by six mask? is it a simple as cutting out a square to that size and sticking it in the camera?

you have to make similar but 6x6, put a rollfilm back paper into camera roll it and look, make a temporary frame and figure out what is best size position and look counter where is the right position. Basically that is it.

Oh - I was talking about the enlarger masks...

As to the mask for the camera, I found a couple of pictures:

To me this looks similar to the Moskva mask, you might be able to buy one, or make one

Black cardboard, the masks are just thin metal, just make one from black cardboard, a bit of hot melt glue or double-sided sticky tape to hold it in place.
