I should have gone to Budapest on June 30th, but due to miscomunication i went to the wrong airport and missed my flight
Luckily enough, I managed to re-plan the trip for this week: I left on Sunday and I came back yesterday.
We had a great time there, the city is beautiful, people were really kind (well, most of them, but I guess a certain percentage of a**holes is necessary everywhere - here it was really low), we got beautiful sun for all days except thursday, and we loved the food (especially Langos).
On top of all, as I arrived on sunday I found an outside market where I bought a CZJ Sonnar 2.8/180 and a Pancolar 1.8/50 for €90 total.
So, together with my recently arrived Mir 24 N I had two other new (excellent) lenses to try
Enough Talking, here are some pics:
Erzsébet híd (Elizabeth Bridge), MC Mir 24 2/35
Central Market Hall, MC Zenitar M 2,8/16
Szabadság híd (Liberty Bridge), CZJ Pancolar 1.8/50
Tourists, CZJ Sonnar 2.8/180
Szent István-bazilika, CZJ Sonnar 2.8/180
Buda Castle, Auto Mamiya Sekor SX 2.8/28
View from Buda, Auto Mamiya Sekor SX 2.8/28
Buda, Mc Mir 24 2/35
Mátyás-templom, don't remember the lens
Lánchíd (Chain Bridge), MC Mir 24 2/35
Szent István-bazilika, CZJ Pancolar 1.8/50
CZJ Sonnar 2.8/180 (misfocused, or shaky, but the moment was good)
Széchenyi thermal bath, Auto Mamiya Sekor SX 2.8/28
Inside Széchenyi thermal bath, Auto Mamiya Sekor SX 2.8/28
MC Mir 24 2/35
Most pictures are taken between f5.6 and f8, usual slight PP (a little sharpening, contrast, wb) on most of them.
Maybe I will post some more.
EDIT:
I forgot this one:
Szent István-bazilika again, MC Mir 24 2/35

Yes, the weather was simply great for 3 out of 4 days.
I walked a lot, it was really pleasing with warm sun and fresh breeze.
You live in a beautiful place. _________________ C&C and editing of my pics are always welcome

Superb series. and nice job with the lenses, I bet the seller was overjoyed to charge that much to a tourist. Not realizing its still a bargain _________________ My web site www.digital-darkroom.weebly.com
Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot. |

Thanks,
I had to struggle a bit to get the sonnar for €70 - it is quite bad cosmetically - but the after that the pancolar came immediately at €20.
The seller was a nice man, he also included a p6 to AF adapter, and had a lot of gear: he was really surprised that I didn't want a tokina 28-70 auto focus zoom. Actually a lot of people were buying auto lenses, and not always for little money.

Oh, they are. I stayed there almost 12 hours, and it was a beautiful experience. Thanks.

Thanks.
At big size, the guy is clearly less sharp than both the other guy on the left and the kid with backpack on the right, but i was mostly concerned about timing, and still have to practice a bit on focusing on moving things. _________________ C&C and editing of my pics are always welcome
