hey all
i am new to this forum. can someone with experience give some advice on which digital body to use the said lens? should i get an adapter for my M8, my sony Nex5, or get a new M4/3 body? I am aware of the vignetting. Just wondering which would be the best route to getting the highest picture quality using this lens.
thanks in advance!

I think a wide angle c-mount lens Will probably vignette significantly on an aps-c sensor, so probably a micro 4/3 is the way to go, even because it will give you a FL equivalent to 50mm on 35mm film, which is nice. _________________ C&C and editing of my pics are always welcome

hey guys
thanks for the advice. now i have to look at the M43 bodies. the choice seems daunting. Is there a clear favourite for the users out there?
if i am using the M43 for ONLY manual lenses, what would be a good choice?
thanks very much!! |

The E-P1 and E-P2 are not as good as a NEX but usable. At 1600 my E-P2 starts showing considerable noise. E-P3 should be a big improvement and so would E-M5. Not sure about other models. But you have a 0.95 lens so why worry! _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/58547200@N00/ |

All Oly models prior to E-M5 are using outdated Panasonic sensors and are very noisy over iso 800.
The new 16mp Sony sensors should be much better from what i have seen on web. I don't have a direct experience with them yet but planning an upgrade soon _________________ Stefan

i think its the same sensor at the nex5. indeed the high iso is very useable. however, i am not a fan of the E-M5 form factor. i will check again the output from the Pen series. What about the Panasonic versions?

hi guys
after doing some extensive research and trying out the RX100, i got myself the EPL 5 a few days ago, together with the 14-42 kit lens plus the wonderful zuiko 45/1.8prime.
Getting used to it now. I have ordered a Leica M-micro4/3 adapter so i can use my M lenses immediately. Looking at the prices of the Angenieux 25/.95, i have doubts if i want to buy that lens.
thanks everyone for the advice! |
