I just returned a few days ago from my summer holidays which I spent on the Croatian island of Lošinj. Very nice place. One morning I climbed the Osoršćica mountain which rises above the towns of Osor and Nerezine in the north of the island. The highest peak is called Televrin, it's only 588m above sea level but it's nevertheless a proper mountain with rocks and everything. I had a good four hour hike up and along the top. With me I took my Minolta SRT 303 with the 28mm/2.8, 50mm/1.4 and 135mm/3.5 Rokkors and a roll of Adox CHS 50 film. In the end I only used the first two lenses and mostly just the 50. I didn't keep notes but I think all of the following except for one or two are with the 50mm. No special postprocessing other than levels, contrast, sharpening except as noted:
1. Sunrise over Osor. I blended together two scans, one for the foreground, one for the sky. For some reason my scanner can't capture the entire range that is contained in the negative in one go.
2. View towards the north from about halfway up the north ridge.
3. A lone pine tree.
4. Interesting looking tree.
5. Another pine tree.
6. Roots.
7. View over the ridge towards the west and Unije island.
8. Forrest floor near the top of the ridge (Televrin, 588m).
9. View over most of the Lošinj island from the second peak.
10. Another view over to the west and Unije island.
11. Small chappel on the third peak (Sv. Mikula, 558m).
12. View from Sv. Mikula.
13. One final view from the top.

Fantastic series, the photographs themselves are excellent in subject, composition etc but also, the processing is excellent, I love the tones and contrast of all of them. Gives me something to aspire to, _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Thanks all. I shot two rolls during the holidays, same film, same camera, same lenses, just different days and processed separately. And for some reason the second roll didn't turn out at all as nice as the first. |

Great subject matter, well shot and processed, and the film looks a good one. I guess it was quite humid and the mist in the distance isn't too heavy to hide the landscape, but enough to emphasize the sharpness of the rocks. Cracking series! |

Thanks. Yeah, the visibility was very low, the air was very misty. But only a couple of days later there was a big rain storm that completely cleared the air and visibility was almost to infinity. I wish I up there that day... |
