Second (and last) roll of film from my summer holidays. Nerezine is a small town on the Lošinj island, Croatia. Population is around 80 permanent residents and several thousand tourists during the summer months (none in the winter). I think there are more boats in the little harbour than there are people actually living there.

This roll didn't come out very well. I don't know what exactly went wrong but the film looks underdeveloped except along the top edge. Each frame is good only at the very top (or left side for the vertical ones), for about 15% of the height where it gradually becomes darker and the rest is as I say underdeveloped. Maybe I didn't mix the developer well enough and it stayed more concentrated at the bottom of the tank or something like that. I suppose things like that can happen when you stand develop. Anyway it took a lot of work in gimp to "equalize" the brightness across every frame and quite a bit of exposure compensation and levels/curves to bring the exposure and contrast up in the first place. But as I had said before, it looks like this film scans better and gives better looking results if it's underexposed/underdeveloped.

Camera is Minolta SRT 303 with Minolta 28mm/2.8, 50mm/1.4 and 135mm/3.5 Rokkor lenses. Most shots are with the 50 but it should be easy to guess the others. Again I didn't take notes so I can't be sure. I think all are stopped down to at least f/5.6. Film is again Adox CHS 50, developed in Adonal 1+100 at 20°C for 60 minutes without agitation (except for the first half minute). In the end I quite like the results but I'd prefer if it didn't take so much postprocessing to get there. Still, I think I managed to do a reasonable rescue operation here. Smile

The postprocessing involved is some heavy levels/curves adjustments, blending with a gradient mask to equalize brightness across each frame, quite a bit of sharpening to overcome the softness of my crappy little scanner (Epson V300) and a few frames are a little cropped (but not significantly). I hope this still qualifies for the B&W film gallery section.

So here are the frames I like from this roll. Some boats in the Nerezine harbour and some buildings around the main square. (I hope it's ok to post so many pictures in a single thread, if not, someone please let me know and I'll make a better editing job next time to select just a few).
