Hi - I'm new to vintage cameras as well as this forum, and have a question about a Contax D I recently aquired. The body came without a lens, and I was wondering if it's OK to use later M42 lenses with an auto diaphram pin on these cameras? Thanks for the help!

If there is a pin, then also there must be a A/M switch so that the aperture closes when you turn the ring.

Someone please correct me if there are other issues?

Look body inside at bottom part you should see a flange to push pin, if not there any flange you must use later lens with A/M switch and use lens in M mode where is pin not counted.
