How to fix this? The winding lever stops at halfway , so I have to move it back and once again to advance one frame and cock the shutter. The camera look in new condition .I shot today a film wich is in the lab to verify if the rangefinder works ok.
I am afraid that if I take off the top plate in order to correct that clogging I'll decalibrate the rangefinder system .

Don't know in case of you I buy another one what is works, not worth to pay fixing costs, without experience I think not easy to fix it.

I`m pretty sure that the reason why you are not able to make o full rotation of the leaver is because of the huge dent near it. Adjusting the rangefinder on fed`s is very easy, however I do not think that you would be able to straighten out that dent even if you remove the top...Without the right tools and skills you could damage the body even more. I suggest you use the camera as is or buy a new Fed. These 5b`s are easy to find and are very cheap. Do not think that tackling with this one is worth a risk tho.

Not sure but usually the rangefinder is fixed to the cast body of the camera, not the top plate.

edit: I don't think you have to remove the top plate at all, just remove the winding lever etc .. things and hit the obstructing corner gently with a hammer.
