Hello folks,

I recently bought a less than perfect Paragon F6.3 400mm lens. Took it to bits and cleaned the lens elements. Unfortunately I am not 100% certain that I put the rear lens pair back together correctly. Silly me forgot to make a sketch! I have the elements in the correct order but am not sure that I have them the right way around. For example should the rear elements slighly concaved face be facing the file/sensor or should it be facing into the lens barrel? Same question for the front lens of the rear pair?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

I've moved this into the correct area, where hopefully someone can help you.

This particular lens is actually a reasonable performer, but suffers badly from fogged rear elements which are difficult (impossible?) to clean.

Good luck!

Is this the same rebranded tokina lens with the million names?.. I just bought one of those last week at a fleamarket for 10 dollars, new in box..

Usually the Paragon lenses are thinner than the Tokinas and are the preset type. I'm not sure anyone knows who the maker was, but they were rebranded with all sorts of names e.g. Optomax and PrinzGalaxy.

A photo would be useful to confirm the model.
