Hello,
These are my first manual focus photos. I did not edit them at all. I am having some difficulty focusing because my eyes are not as good as they used to be and I need practice. The focus ring on this lens was a little stiff and I could not really focus on things in the distance.
Feel free to give comments and criticism. Glad to join this forum!

I think I need to post again to show photos.

Welcome on forum! Smile

Yes, because of anti-spam systeme, image in your first post can't appear.

About focusing, I advice you to use AF confirm adapter, it helps a lot!

Nice to see my country man here! Welcome!
Focusing is not easy without focusing aid, focus confirm adapter or split screen great help to improve your success.

Thanks to both of you for the tips. Actually I am from the United States, but I am living in Hungary now.

Well I have lived here for seven years and we just purchased a new house south of Budapest, so I should be around for a while. My wife is from Hungary.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I was fortunate that girl was playing in the fountain while I was there. Too bad the focus ring on the lens was a little stiff, it was hard to get a good shot since she was moving around a lot. Maybe I can lubricate it a little.

I welcome you, I enjoyed your images, and I agree with Attila about focus aids. I have both a split-prism and a high-contrast focusing screen for my EOS 50D, previously from my former 40D, and they are invaluable to achieving proper focus. I have not yet used any focus-confirm 'chipped' adaptor, so I cannot offer anything about them, but a different focusing screen will almost certainly improve your chances for success.

Thanks for posting the photos properly and for the encouragement. Looking at your reply I could see how to put the photos up myself.
Maybe Attila will see me out taking photos. Lately it has been too hot though.

Do you have any recommendations for the split prism screen?
