Same room different type of bulb!!!! Any Better???

So after my first post (no longer innocent !!!) realised I have two lights in my front room. The other bulb or lamp depending on where in the world you come from - is one of those energy saving ones. You know the ones that take half an hour to come on.

Suggestions and criticism are encouraged - but probably not welcomed te he!!!

interesting, those corners of the bulb elements look as if it was some plastic tubes blown up with air
very well exposed!

I suggest that on the next take try not to cut the lamp but make it all fit inside the frame.
eventually a time to leave the "lamp phase" behind will come

I am very sorry for that, that was very stupid of me.
let me clarify: You show the great capability to see your world afresh through the eye of a camera. I specially like it when a photo shows everyday things differently and as "new".
right on, you are doing great!

The bulb would have fitted better in the frame when you had chosen portrait format.
I have to say, you have nice things surrounding you that form a better subject to excercise in manual focusing, like the cats and flowers in the garden
Try that subjects, preferable without TC to have a better handling and IQ.
And write down used focus lenghts and apertures for analyses of the results.

Hi thanks for all your comments. Not really gone for a walk with my camera yet. So only taken it to my mums and shot around the house. I appreciate all comments. I know I need to get out and take pics further afield. Only going to use my teleconvertor on really bright subjects like lights - to darken everything around it.
