I just got this lens. It has some edge fungus in the front element. Apart from that it seems fine. Took a few quick pictures handheld using M42 adapter as I am waiting for the adapter. Do I need to say anything about the quality?

It does feel quite light, but it doesn't seem to be plastic? More like aluminium?

Are you sure it is fungus? Those old German lenses sometimes show the strangest effect which can easily be misinterpreted as fungus.
