As usual i am not bothered about the exterior of the lens, as long as its fungus free etc and working properly the exterior can be worn. Looking to get it cheap as usual, i have 3 28mm lenses and i don't think the aperture works on any of them Sad

Max, a Tak isn't going to be cheap if it's in reasonable condition. I'd suggest you get yourself a Vivitar 2.8/28. They go for peanuts and are beautifully sharp from f4 upwards.

Thanks peter. i was hoping someone would have a battered one, functioning but looking rough, filter thread messed up or scratched on outside etc. Trying to get a few basic tak lenses, have a 135 and 50. the 28's are about i know but most are not cheap as you say. We live in hope Wink

Sadly it's getting really hard to get one cheap. I almost unintentionally ended up gathering a little collection of takumars (35/2, 35/3.5, 35/2.3, 50/1.4, 55/1.8, 85/1.9, 135/3.5, 135/2.5, 150/4, 200/4) spending very little for every one of those. Now I'd like to expand it with wider ones, but getting a price that suits my pockets is hard. Even the ones I got one year ago now cost much more (talking of online auctions, used gear stores are harder to monitor).
