Hi,
A month ago I purchased an Helios 44-m for my eos 1000D. This lens is quite good; unfortunately the m42 adapter (without chip) doesn't allow to focus to infinity. Could you suggest me a really suitable m42 adapter on e-bay?
Thank you in advance
Guido

I just got this one from big_is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120572333572?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
It focuses to infinity just fine and even has semi accurate focus marks with both of my Pentax m42 lenses. It is an non flanged adapter, don't know what lenses require the flange...

And I have used this one Click here to see on Ebay with great success. No AF confirmation but it focuses to infinity just fine. Smile

THe helios is an awesome lens. I have a 44-2 and a cool 44-4 and a couple of other zenits.
My experience with these cheaper m42 adapters is that they do not align with the EOS. they leave the focus scale off to the right a few degrees, which frustrates me because I like them at the top.
I spend about ten bucks for mine and get the silver color chrome ones and they are heavier duty and line up.
I have not had a focus issue with these.
the cheap ones, however, I may be wrong, but shoddy production and starting the threads in the wrong place could be effecting your results. I have a few in the closet that I bought on the cheapy side so I could leave them on my favorite m42s that are like that, and they are worthless.
