Some pp (auto colour in photoshop as it was over exposed and flared a bit).

The blue is outstanding! And, this is quite a fine portrait, especially since
you are using the 28mm lens, which I assume is about 56mm equivalent?

I love the textural detail. This has GOT to be a "keeper" lens, correct?

Thanks guys, I really like the blues too Smile This is on 1.5x crop, so focal length is about 42mm.

yes, it looks good on 1.5 nex crop and on my ep2 2x as well!

Very interesting !
how does it perform wide open ?

I'll try to dig out some wide open shots. It's OK, but suffers flare when shooting at night with bright lights.

I just bought this in FD mount. I am really impressed with the results. It is decent sharp even wide open. Compared to Vivitar 24/2 this is a much better lens. I will add my samples on this thread rather than starting a new one. These are taken at f2 with Olympus E-P2.

For some reason I can't upload so these are links to tumblr.

Lovely portrait. You have to know someone real well to get that close for a portrait on a 28(42). Very Happy I have this and a couple of their zooms - not one is less than good.

I agree, great portrait, but I'm trying to figure out the scene. Your wife, I assume, looks dressed for a festive party, but you seem to be in a procession walking through a cemetery. I hope this wasn't a funeral.

Lol, most of our churches are surrounded by graves.

Graham how does this compare to your Ultron

Old thread alert!

The Ultron has more contrast wide open and is a bit sharper in the corners at wider apertures. Is it £200.00 better though for a non-rangefinder camera? Probably not unless you want really sharp shots at high ISO at f/2. But then I'd rather get a Nikkor 28/2, despite its size Wink
