My first post, so hello to all Smile

I have acquired Meyer Domiron 2/50mm, which has the beginnings of fungus on the perimeter of the inside of front and rear elements, its not serious but best done now than later.

I want to teardown to get access to inside of front and rear elements for treatment with Ponds and was hoping someone here would have knowledge to share.

There is a little screw on the front baffle cone and there are screws on the back. I have all the usual lens tools.

Don't do it by your self this lens fetch high price 100 UKP+ even if fungused, due no experience you will ruin it.

This lens has floating element , rather difficult lens than simple. Worth to pay for an expert who do job well.

This is a rare Meyer lens and worth professional cleaning.
If you are not rushing it and you are willing to spend 20-30 Eur i can help you with that.

Well I thought about the advice given and reasoned that if the lens is rare and old (>50yr), then how do experts become experts with this lens?

As I do not like the feeling of fungi eating my lenses while I sleep, job is now done by myself. The hardest part is the baffle cone removal, but once done is easy to access the slots for the front element. The rear element offers unobstructed access.

My lens is like 97% new. Surprisingly sharp wide open and of course belongs to Bokeh Royalty. I will post pictures later
