I just got myself a Pentacon auto 4/200 MC lens (see bottom picture on http://www.praktica-users.com/lens/mlenses/morp4_200.html) for €8,-.

Unfortunately, contrary to the seller's story the aperture is stuck. Does anybody know the best way to get to the aperture of this lens / get the aperture out?

I was by the way pleasantly surprised to find an auto/manual switch for the aperture.

Got mine for 8 GBP, same problem. Blades do move sometimes, but they are erratic. Stuck blades seem to be a weak point of this lens.

That one is for a pre-set Pentacon, a different beast altogether. Mine is Auto (with six blades).

If your lens is similar to the Pentacon auto 2.8/135 then this link may help...

Yep, that one looks similar! I am afraid I lack the skills required though Smile I could clean and lubricate Jupiter-6 focusing ring, and to the same with Jupiter-37, but those are way simpler mechanically.

I know this is 4 years late post but I registered just to say that I managed to repair it myself. Very Happy I will upload result on Saturday. My Pentacon 4/200 auto MC was stuck to f4 when I bought it. So, I got it for 1/3 prize and repaired it so now works fine. Solution is really simple. After cleaning small aperture "razors" you just need to adjust lever which is attached to the first ring of plastic from the back of lens. Smile
