I use a m39-m42 adapter held down by a rubber "o-ring".
This lens was recieved as a "freebie", from a local antique vendor as the focus was frozen and the aperture blades did not respond.
This was about a year ago-I had opened the lens to fix the focus ring as it was frozen-and the aperture was unresponsive. I cleaned,lubed ,fixed the aperture and adjusted for infinity as far as mechanically allowable ,without hacking ,sawing anything off. I did not document it then unfortunately.

Yes this is a great lens, I agree .Carsten ,do you have a picture of the lens you're talking of?

I have been experimenting with this lens when I can-and like its closeup capabilities, and its bokeh renderings.
