When I got my K-7 back from repair, they updated the firmware. This included a new setting to mimic reversal film. Here are some shots experimenting with it. Lens: Takumar 50mm 1:1.4

I do like the coloration and saturation. Unlike the standard setting, these required no color or contrast enhancement. In fact, auto contrast and tone commands had no effect. In sum, much better than the 'natural' setting.

That is a nice, satisfying result.

There's a U.S. chain called Rainforest Cafe. I'm not a huge fan of the food, but they have a whole experience in their restaurants, like eating in a rain forest. The one near where I grew up had a live alligator and mechanical anaconda. That frog is on the SF Rainforest Cafe's welcome sign. It's a really fun place to go as a kid or to take kids to.
