I got my Nex-7 around 3 month ago without any E lens. Few days ago I bought at my friendly dealer used the Sony 18-200mm lens for a good price.

Today I have taken few shots at our garden center while my wife was buying some flowers for her garden.

NEX-7 and SEL18200 E18-200 mm F3,5-6,3 TeleZoomlens









Of course not a macro lens but suitable for shorter distances too. For better quality click on the image.

I bought this one used (approx. 1 year old like new incl. one year warranty) at my dear dealer for little bit more than 50 % of list price. For this price I decided to buy it.

Thanks for your comments. I'm very happy with this lens.

Below for the files 3 other samples. # 1 and #2 are at 65mm (around 100mm at FF), #3 at 200mm (around 300mm at FF) all wide open at the respective focal lenght (f/5,6 and f/6.3)

Usually I'm totally sticked to primes but this is the best superzoom lens I've ever seen.
Against all rules it seems to be a lot better than the "only 3x" 18-55 kit zoom.

I'm not wondering about it's high price. I think it's worth the money.
