I love this focal length, it's like the perfect midpoint between a long telephoto and a normal lens.
All wide open at f2.8

Picture of the lens from the auction :

Serial start with 28 so it's probably Komine made. _________________ Body : Canon 5d Mark II, Canon 50d

I have several copies of this lens. All mine are very sharp. A bit cool/neutral color rending when compare with Takumars Smc 135s.

Well I too have this lens and found it's good for pop but just short of being razor sharp, but for the cheap price they sometimes go for you can't complain. For me I use better 135mm lenses (only because I've bought them cheap). _________________ Canon A1, AV1, T70 & T90, EOS 300 and EOS300v, Chinon CE and CP-7M. I really like this focal length as well, which is why I've got four 135mm lenses, lol.
Without having looked at your location, I figured you were probably in North America, the northern U.S. or Canada (southern Ontario here). I recognized the downy woodpecker and the nuthatch as native birds. And of course the mallards too but they are much more common. _________________ Canon 50D; CZJ Sonnar 135mm 3.5; SMC Takumar 55mm 1.8; Helios 44-2 58mm 2; Jupiter 37-A 135mm 3.5; Jupiter 11A 135mm 4; Pentacon 135mm 2.8; Nikkor-P 105mm 2.5;(Tokina) Vivitar 35mm 2.8; Tokina RMC 28mm 2.8; Vivitar 19mm 3.8; RMC Tokina 80-200mm 4.5; RMC Tokina 35-70mm 3.5; Panagor 90mm 2.8; Asahi Pentax extension tubes; 2xAuto Prinz teleconverter M42 |

I have the Cosina-made version and it's quite a nice lens. It's my go-to lens for the kids school concerts, & events. Downside is that it's a pretty heavy chunk of steel & glass, but that doesn't bother me much. |

I'm not a huge fan of 135 for general stuff. I don't shoot crop though as I'm FF/film, so I find it either too long or not long enough. _________________ Casual attendance these days |
