Spring arrived here 2 days ago, so I went today to a little zoo, in Paris, named "Ménagerie du Jardin des Plantes". My plan was to test the lens I received some days ago: an Optomax 300/5.5, a quite cheap lens. But I appreciated the results, especialy about colors (no PP). A bit too much of noise, next time, I won't forget to decrease ISO Embarassed . I used my 40D.

Nice shoots, but buy a better lens in my opinion.

I certainly will, I just need to be patient and gather a bit more money. I'm still in my "discovering time", I wanted to test this type of focal. I did Very Happy .

But technicaly, what is wrong with this lens? It's naturely not sharp (need to say that all shots are wide open), but I don't see that much CA (fact that I don't see it naturely doesn't mean that there is not, I guess) for exemple...

Amazing birds! The colors are certainly good enough on each image.
I look forward to seeing what you buy next...it takes time to get a nice collection of lenses when working on a budget but not impossible... Cool
